 Spanish Class Levels

Students are divided into levels based on their previous exposure and studies of Spanish. Proficiency and fluency are also considered for intermediate and advanced students.

Introductory Level

This level is for those students who have no prior experience with Spanish, its grammar or its pronunciation. It covers the basics. Emphasis in pronunciation, basic grammar and vocabulary.

Beginner Level

Some previous Spanish experience and/or understanding is required. Students must have a basic vocabulary and be able to recognize and say small phrases. Basic pronunciation should not be an obstacle and some conjugation should be recognized.

Intermediate Level

Students must feel comfortable and familiar with Spanish. Present, past and future tenses should be recognized. Communication in Spanish should be possible in an advanced basic level.

Advanced Level

Students are knowledgeable about the language; can speak and understand, but need to practice and improve advanced grammar such as Subjunctive and Compound tenses and Passive Voice.
