Thinking back about how fortunate I was to have made
the right decision for selecting the Spanish Language
Center to help me learn to speak Spanish correctly.
I would like to thank my teacher and the Language
Center's director, Juan G. Cortez (one & the same)
for having the confidence and foresightedness of
placing me in the intermediate level two short years
ago. I - who had never studied Spanish in high school
nor college - was armed only with the familiarity of
spoken Spanish in my environment.
In these small conversational groups I was motivated to try, corrected gently (and often) when necessary, and am now in the advanced class in this my 3rd year.
I came here to learn to speak Spanish, but when I
achieve my goal, I will have accomplished so much
more: Superior teachers with knowledge, patience, and
interest for each individual, plus a new group of
friends consisting of university students, teachers,
lawyers, architects, parents, and a priest who will
always be greatly treasured.
